Day 3: smidgins of joy

Smidgins of joy are painted on the petals of flowers.

It’s flowering! I skipped towards the loofah vine as soon as I spotted the pale yellow expression of glory. I will admit to a smidgin of joy when I realised that I am still capable of breaking into a spontaneous skip.

    1. They are. They are several shades lighter than the flowers of other cucurbits. Large pumpkins, spaghetti squash, courgettes, butternut, gem squash, and cucumbers have a more intense, brighter yellow.
