I would like to extend my hearty congratulations to spammers whose message content actually makes sense and pops up as a new comment on my blog.
Greetings I am so excited I found your webpage, I really found you
by error, while I was looking on Aol for something else, Anyhow I am here now and would just like to say thanks for a fantastic post and a all round thrilling blog (I also love the theme/design), I don’t have time to read it all at the moment but I have book-marked it and also added your RSS feeds, so when I have time I will be back to read a great deal more, Please do keep up the fantastic job.
Flattery, however, will not get you anywhere, especially if you comment on a post written well over a year ago. The fact that this particular spammer has an e-mail address purportedly in Germany tells me that it is likely the spambot picked up something from one of my Google circles.
One last thing: Yeah, right, you love my theme/design. At least I laughed – or guffawed, more precisely.
Real people, with real things to say, are more than welcome to comment at any time. And you might get somewhere, depending how artful your flattery is. 🙂
Allison
